The bag weighs 1kg on average. This varies up to 1.2 kg depending on the chosen size and material.
Wait for your dachshund to be completely lying down on the floor, stretched out.
Measure the length from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail (see size guide in image).
To help your dachshund get used to their new carrier gently, it is important not to rush them. Start by leaving the bag on the floor in a familiar place, such as near their basket or bed, for 24 to 48 hours. This allows your dog to discover the bag at their own pace, sniff the new scents, and start getting familiar with it naturally. You can also place a small blanket or an object with their scent inside to reassure them. Once they are comfortable, your dachshund will be much more confident for their first trips.🐾

Model S: length, once open, is 54 cm; when closed, with the dog inside, it is approximately 50 cm. Height adjustable from 18 to 20 cm (maximum circumference is approximately 63 cm).
Model M: length, once open, is 62 cm; when closed, with the dog inside, it is approximately 58 cm. Height adjustable from 20 to 23 cm (maximum circumference is approximately 65 cm).
Model L: length, once open, is 70 cm; when closed, with the dachshund inside, it is approximately 65 cm. Height adjustable from 23 to 25 cm (maximum circumference is approximately 75 cm).

Are the bags waterproof?
All Cordura models are waterproof.
Will my dachshund fit in the bag?
All bag models are 62 cm long when fully opened. By tightening the side drawstrings to the maximum, the length can be reduced by 5 cm (keep in mind that they are designed to leave the snout side open, unless it is necessary to close it).
The size L model is designed to carry standard dachshunds and measures 72 cm (length) when fully opened.
Please note that it is not necessary to close the drawstring to the maximum: it is enough to tighten it just enough to prevent your dog from sliding and getting out of the bag.
What is the maximum weight for each bag?
The bags have been tested for dogs weighing up to 15 kg.
If your dachshund is a bit heavy, we recommend opting for the Adventure model, which allows you to better distribute the weight.
Is my dog likely to jump?
Absolutely not: your pet's safety and your own are a priority for us. All bags are equipped with a safety strap with a hook for a collar or harness and a safety mesh to close the top of the bag so that your dachshund cannot try to "escape" and throw you off balance.
Is the bag suitable for other dog breeds?
Certainly, provided that the dog does not feel "constrained" inside the bag. A French bulldog might not be comfortable in it, whereas a Jack Russell or a small Maltese would feel quite at ease in our bag, which would also help protect their backs from inappropriate positions, such as vertical carrying.
